Available Positions
Training Representative | Corporate Headquarters

Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union currently has an opening for a Training Representative (grade 11). This position is responsible for conducting loan, new account and teller training for new hires as well as follow-up training in the same areas. Writing procedures and keeping procedures manuals up to date are also major responsibilities for the position. The position is responsible for ensuring that Bank Secrecy Act and robbery and security training are conducted on a quarterly basis at a minimum and following up with trainees to ensure that best practices are being implemented on the job. The Training Representative will be responsible for assisting in the development phases of new products and services and the training involved with the implementation of those products and services.  The position will report to the AVP of WOW.

Qualifications for the position include the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, the ability to speak in front of large groups and knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Word. Qualified applicants should also be well-versed in the credit union’s lending, new accounts and teller procedures and should be knowledgeable of our products and services. An enthusiastic, positive attitude is essential, as this position should be a role model for all new-hires and existing team members. A minimum of one year GWFCU or other financial institution experience is required.

Branch Supervisor | Blue Angel Branch


Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union currently has an opening for a Branch Supervisor for the Bellview location (grade 13).  This position will be responsible for the efficient operation of a rapidly growing branch of the credit union.  The person who fills this position will be responsible for supervising the staff necessary to carry out the functions of the branch.  The position will report to the Vice-President of Operations.

Qualifications for the position include:  ability to work well with others, ability to read and interpret consumer reports, collect data, and respond to difficult situations involving members and employees.  Candidates should also possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, employees, and members.  Successful candidates should have a minimum of one year experience with the credit union or other financial institution.  Previous experience in the following is strongly preferred:

* Supervisory
* Lending
* Member Services

Mortgage Loan Assistant | Corporate Branch

Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union currently has an opening for a Mortgage Loan Assistant (grade 8). This position is responsible for scheduling appointments for the Mortgage Department, ensuring that all mortgage file contents are complete, well-organized and properly loaded into the computer system, analyzing, tracking, and maintaining escrow accounts, tracking HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) entries, and tracking insurance and title information. The position will report to the Mortgage Department Supervisor.

Qualifications for the position include the ability to remain focused and organized, the ability to prioritize multiple projects, excellent computer skills, including Excel and Word, and strong member service and sales skills.

Call Center Financial Services Representative

Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union currently has an opening for a Call Center Financial Services Representative (Grade 9).  This position will be responsible for helping members via telephone in applying for loans and inquiring of our various products and services.  The position will also assist in answering questions about basic account information such as balance, checks cleared, account transfers, etc.  The position will report to the Call Center Supervisor.

This position will work every Saturday from 8:00 to 12:30, but will have one full day off during the work week (either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) to be determined by the supervisor.

Qualifications for the position include the ability to maintain attention to detail, excellent telephone communication skills, the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members, and the ability to read and interpret consumer reports and collect data from members.  Knowledge of personal computers is also required.
